Yoga Instruction.

“The single most important issue for traumatized people is to find a sense of safety in their own bodies.” —Bessel van der Kolk

Movement is Medicine.

As a E-RYT 500 trauma informed yoga instructor guiding students for the last decade, it has been revealed to me repeatedly how imperative it is that our health be addressed physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. The mind-body connection allows us to survey our internal status, giving us the space to observe the messages our body delivers in reference to our discomfort, our imbalances, and our pain. Through the somatic practice of yoga, we can access and navigate a more in-depth dialogue about the experience within our own bodies.
